Radiant Photo offers several types of add-ons that can expand the creative options available in the app. If you're browsing the marketplace, you may come across Workflows, LOOKs, Presets, and Develop Collections and wonder how they differ or where each one fits in Radiant Photo.
Here’s a quick overview of what each one does and where you’ll find it.
Workflows are intelligent systems built on AI training and scene detection. You can learn more about the Workflows here.
When you apply a Workflow, it scans your image and detects the type of scene it's looking at — for example, Landscape, People – Night, Food & Drink, etc.
Each scene comes with its own develop collections, and each develop collection contains develop settings built for that scene.
Think of it this way:
Workflow → Scene → Develop Collection → Develop Setting
For example:
- Radiant Photo – Core is the Workflow.
- Animals is the detected Scene.
- Animals is also the name of the corresponding Develop Collection.
- Pro/Finish/Subtle, etc. is a Develop Setting within that collection.
Develop Settings are suggested based on the scene Radiant Photo detects, making it easier to find a suitable starting point for your image.
Develop Settings are actually very similar to Presets — both are pre-defined combinations of adjustments (a "recipe" of tool and slider values) designed for a specific editing need, and both are great starting points for your edit. The difference is where you'll find them:
- Presets live in the Presets (Legacy) tab and aren't tied to Workflows.
- Develop Settings are part of Workflows — they're suggested automatically based on the scene detected in your image.
LOOKs work differently from both Presets and Develop Settings. They remap the color and tone of your image using a specially prepared LUT (Lookup Table) file, and they work completely independently from the other editing controls in Radiant Photo.
