Camera Capture Screen
Here is an overview of the camera capture screen.

- A | FLASH MODE – Toggle the Flash on or Off
- B | EXPOSURE COMPENSATION – Tap the open the EV meter. The default value is -.7 which works best with the Radiant Image Engine and ensures details are preserved.
- C | HIDDEN MENU ARROW– Tap to access advanced camera controls. Opens near the bottom of the screen. The options vary between photo and video mode.
- D | FILE FORMATS – Tap to cycle available photo formats. In video mode, you can control frame rate and resolution.
- E | TAP TO FOCUS – A quick tap will set focus. A long press will lock both Auto Exposure (AE) and Auto Focus (AF). Drag on the sun icon to fine-tune exposure.
- F | CAMERA LENS CONTROLS – Tap to switch between your native lenses. The numbers will match your iOS camera hardware. Pinch to zoom on screen for zooming.
- G | RADIANT LENSES – Use the first option, Smart Edit for AI Scene Recognition if available in the app. You can also manually choose one of the lenses before capture/record to assign it to the image.
- H | TOGGLE RADIANT LENSES – Tap to hide or show the Radiant Lenses. Makes more room on screen to see the live view display.
- I | CAMERA MODES – Toggle capture modes. Currently options are Photo and Video (with more in the future)
- J | PHOTO PREVIEW – A thumbnail of the last photo or video taken; tapping it opens the image in the editing view.
- K | Shutter Button – The large, circular button in the center to take a photo or start recording a video.
- L | Selfie Switcher – An icon (often an arrow circle) next to the shutter button to switch between the front and rear cameras.

- M | ADVANCED FLASH CONTROLS – Tap to use an Auto Flash that fires when needed. Choose On to force the flash, or Off to never fire. I vifeo mode the flash functions as a Torch Light to illuminate your footage.
- N | ASPECT RATIO – Switch between different aspect ratios for your photo.
- O | EXPOSURE COMPENSATION – Another access point to adjust how auto exposure is calculated.
- P | SELF TIMER – Allows the use of a delay for photos. Useful to stabilize the camera from shake or to give you time to get into the photo.
Quick Editor
After capture, your recent pictures will open automatically. Simply pause capture for three seconds witout interacting with the screen or tap the icon preview for the last image in the lower left corner of the camera screen.

- A | APP CONTROLS & RESOURCES – Open for more details on the app as well as advanced controls on how files are saved.
- B | PHOTO BROWSER – Switch to the Photo Browser to see your entire library as well as synced albums. Radiant Cameras use the system photo library that is also used as your native Camera Roll.
- C | RADIANT INDICATOR – Indicates an image has been analyzed and optimized after opening. Can also be pressed and held to toggle the before and after view.

D | LENS MORE MENU – Useful shortcuts for the current image. Includes the ability to Share an image as well as ability to Save. Files can also be deleted (they will be moved to your system camera roll trash). If you want to reset an editing style lens to default options choose the Reset Lens command.

- E | SWIPE TO CHANGE LENSES – Simply swipe up or down to change lenses used for the visual edits and enhancements. You can also swipe side-to-side to advance to previous or next photos in the camera roll.
- F | PRESS TO PREVIEW CHANGES – Press and hold to see the original image. Release to see the edited state. A useful way to compare the current image to the original file.
- G | LENS NAME – Which lens is in use for the current image. A dot next to the name indicates that settings were changed from their default values.
- H | REFINE SLIDER – Changes select values for the lens editing recipe used under the hood. A useful way to refine the current photo. Drag to the right to increase editing intensity and to the left to lower.
- I | OPEN CURRENT LENS RECIPE – See the current Lens Recipe in a streamlined editing interface. Offers just the controls used to build the visual enhancements for the current lens.
- J | LENS PICKER – Assign a different group of editing settings to the current image. Useful to explore other recipes.
- K | Share & Save – Allows you to invoke the iOS Share menu to send the edited image to other apps. Can also save the file back to your camera roll. The Save and Save a Copy method are nondestructive and will not discard the original image.
- L | FAVORITE – Mark the current image as a favorite. This sync with the OS camera roll and makes it easy to find your most important images later.
- M | DETAILED EDIT VIEW – Opens the current image into the detailed edit view. Multiple tabs are used and you can see all of the editing controls including LOOKs and Finishing Tools.

N | CROP TOOL – Change the aspect ratio for the current iamge. Also usful to straighten an image that's slightly crooked. You can also Rotate in 90˚ increments or Flip an image as needed.

- O | RETURN TO CAMERA – Press to return to camera capture. Returning to the app from your home screen or app switcher also will return you straight to camera view to cut down on any missed pictures.
Lens Editor
The Lens Editor view shows you only the tools used in the current lens. This makes the view very streamlined and is a useful way to refine the current preset.
The top toolbar controls are identical to the Quick Editor view.

- Click the X to discard your edits and return to the last settings used
- Click the ✓(checkmark) to commit your edits to the image.
- The settings are stored as sidecars nondestructively.
NOTE: In order to see your edits in another app or sytem camera roll, be sure to user the actual Share and Save menu to capture the edits.
Changing Tools
- To quickly switch between tools, press and hold the screen in the Quick Editor or Detailed Editor view.
- You can then drag up or down to go to the previous or next tool in th e list.
- Dragging to the right or left on-screen lets your refine the slider value.

Detailed Editor
The Detailed Editor view shows you all of the available tools. This view is useful for advanced editing tasks when you want to create a customized result. The settings you pick in the Quick Editor or Lens Editor will transfer as your starting point.
The top toolbar controls are identical to those in the other editing views.

- Click a tab to switch groups of tools
- A dot on a tab indicates tools are in use
- Use individual tools by tapping them to select
- The values used for a tool show as smaller exponential numbers
- Click the X to discard your edits and return to the last settings used
- Click the ✓(checkmark) to commit your edits to the image.
- The settings are stored as sidecars nondestructively.

Photo Browser (Grid View)
The Radiant Camera app stores files and reads files from the same place, your system camera roll. We do this to make it easy to store new images as well as access any that you have created in the past.

Once opened, the grid view will show you the Photo Browser. It contains the camera roll contents and more for the current device.

- A | APP CONTROLS & RESOURCES – Open for more details on the app as well as advanced controls on how files are saved.
- B | ALBUM BROWSER – See any of the albums you have in your photo library. These can be created in the iOS Photos app. Many third party applications and camera sync utilities also create albums automatically to make it easier to find imported media.

- C | MULTI-SELECT BUTTON – Choose multiple items in the grid. This is useful to mark a group of images as favorites. It can also be used to batch delete or to Share. With an active Selection made you can tap the More button at the bottom of the screen.

D | CATEGORY BROWSER – Limits the Grid view to showing only specific types of content.
- All – Every file in the system photo library
- Photos – Only image files
- Videos – Only video files
- Favorites – Only images marked as Favorites in the Radiant app or iOS Photos or Camera apps

E | PHOTO GRID – Drag up or down to scroll the view.
- Radiant Cameras puts the newest images at the top of the Photo Grid.
- Pinch to zoom to change the size of the thumbnails in the grid.
- Tap to open a single image or video for editing.
- F | RETURN TO CAMERA – Press to quickly switch back to taking photos.
