We’re starting with a single platform to make sure the apps work perfectly for everyone — much like how other software companies approached things in the early days.
Radiant Camera apps rely heavily on close integration with the phone’s native camera and require developer access to very precise camera settings. Because the Android ecosystem is highly fragmented, with wide variation in hardware and camera implementations across devices, it’s much more complex to deliver the same tightly integrated experience at scale.
That said, this isn’t “iOS only forever.” We look to bring similar benefits to Android over time, of course.
Meanwhile, we’re continuing to improve our Android editing app, Radiant: AI Photo Editor, so you can keep creating while we explore how best to evolve our camera experience on Android.
